Kambô, Sapo or Acate are just a few of the names for a traditional natural therapy that is used by various indigenous tribes of the Amazon. It consists of the skin secretions of the South American nocturnal Giant Monkey tree frog.
Kambô detoxes the body, strengthens the immune system and activates self-healing within the body. It is a natural antibiotic, anti-cancerous, antiviral and anti-fungal and thereby kills bacteria, viruses and fungi. It is anti-inflammatory, cleans the blood and can improve general well-being.
There are over 120 peptides in Kambô medicine. The properties of nine bio-active Kambô peptides are effective against many diseases and ailments. Studies show that some peptides in Kambô can be very effective in dealing with Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer, Dementia, Chronic Fatigue, chronic Pain, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, Mood Disorders, Fibromialgya, Arthritis, Diabetes, Herpes, Lymes, Infertility, Hepatitis, Cancer, AIDS, addictions and so much more.
Kambô is known as the ''Vaccine of the Forest'' for its ability to strengthen and revitalize our whole being. It is a deep cleansing therapy that works on all levels – physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
The secretion is applied to burns on the skin and a reaction begins within all the bodily systems. A deep purge occurs on all levels while toxins and negative energies are released. After the application a cellular re-genesis begins and the body integrates the experience through adaptation.
Because of its potent effect on the whole human organism, the Kambô-frog treatment has been used for centuries in the Amazon region. The local tribesmen traditionally use it for:
-
Healing and cleansing of the body;
-
Physical strength and stamina;
-
Spiritual and mental clarity;
-
Increased luck and zest for life.
Matsés tribesmen of the Amazon use this medicine to clear themselves from “panema“ (bad luck, negative energy). After a Kambô treatment, most people feel a strong optimism and clearness of mind. They may feel recharged in strength and stamina, and capable of achieving their goals. It is said that everything flows a bit better in life after taking Kambô, because externally we always attract the thing that is going on internally.
In addition to the numerous physical benefits Kambô also provides its medicine to cleanse on an energetic/spiritual level – helping to heal and open the heart chakra: “Kambô circulates in the heart. When we take Kambô, it makes the heart move accurately so that things flow, bringing good things to the person. It’s as if there was a cloud on the person, preventing the good things from coming; then, when they take the Kambô, it becomes a green light which opens the way, making things easier.”
– Kaxinawá Kambo Shaman
While Kambô is known to have many curative benefits, every human being is unique. The outcome of the treatments can vary in its effects, as well as in the amount of time it may take to feel those effects. Everybody is different, so each session can be a bit different because Kambô works on many levels and is unique in its manifestation.
